Add a "Community Calendar" to the Communities 
You may have noticed that IdeaJam now looks a bit different. That's because we are testing out some new themes that will be included with IdeaJam V2.0 coming in 2012. If you have any feedback about the new themes we would be happy to hear what you have to say. Please drop us a note.

One of the things I miss the most on the Connections Communities is the lack of a community calendar. Communities usually have events, calls, meetings, and so on ... it would be very usefull to have a community calendar functionality ... then it could support iCAL and we would be able to add the community calendar to our calendars on notes... it would be very cool.

I agree with this idea. I own two communities on ibm.com (ECM and InfoSphere) and customers keep asking for this. For this particular product its important, because groups of people want to use this to organize regional events. Even in an enterprise environment this would be key. Team are spread out, so local teams may want to organize something specific to their region. Integration with Notes Calendar would be ideal.

Surfacing as .ics (iCalendar feed) would be ideal. I agree this use case is common. I have a Community I maintain for a user group and would like to present a list of related events/meetings. This makes more sense in a Connections Community than it does in a Quickr place.
