I know how to develop but it would be nice if this feature was built in Domino Server/Admin Client to push caledar entries to all mailfiles, for example company specific Holidays or events thats not a Meeting, All day event, reminder or appointment. |

I'd like to see them renamed from Holidays to simply 'Special Dates/Events' with Holiday being part of the categorisation for the date.

Awesome idea, add an automated email to the NotesAdmin group to actually put updated dates in the holidays would make it even better. Most administrators I come across (I am an instructor) don't even know this feature exists which is such a shame as end users love it.

Add it to the mail settings document as an option there...that way, different OUs can get different holiday lists pushed to them...and could also obtain multiple lists.

It would be great if the user can subscribe to different categories. An agent could then update the necessary databases when entries are added or changed.
When this is supported by a policy where the administrator can force the subscription of users to some of the list it would be perfect!

You're right, it should be built-in. But in the meanwhile, you can do it by script.

To be able to push the company holidays and special events would be great, if it can be policy based then it could handle dept dates like sales shows and training classes.
