I would love to click on a date in the small numeric calendar table on the top left of the Calendar Perspective and be redirected to that very date. Variations on the same theme are listed below.

  1. Click on Today ?  Go to "One Day" view of that very day.
  2. In the detailed calendar view, if I have a "One Week" or "One Work Week" or "One Month" view selected, when clicking in one specific day, go to "One Day" view of that very day.
  3. When selecting a date on the small numeric calendar view, bring the selected date respecting the view selection I have. If I have a "One Week" or "One Work Week" or "One Month" selected when cliking on an specific date of the small numeric calendar view, bring the corresponding view, with the given date selected.

Sorry, but I do not like the idea of clicking on Today changing the view that I am using to view my calendar, nor do I like the idea of clicking on a day in the detailed calendar view switching the view to One Day.

Point 3 is how it works now, Point 1 I don't like, but I'm not quite sure what you mean by point 2. If you mean click on the the date itself in a one-week/month etc view switches to a 1 day view, then I like that idea.

Maybe you need to break these into separate ideas.

Similar to @1/2... I would not want the change of date to also change the style of view I am in. When I click on a day, I expect to to go to that date, in the current view style I am using. (which is what it does)

It seems that I could not make my point clear here ... the feeling I have that the navigation is not consistent with the great look-and-feel Notes 8 calendar has now.

In the list I suggested, number 1 and 3 should be the same, as they are just two different ways of selecting a given date in the calendar. I really don't know if I am doing something wrong with my calendar, but it just does not generate any perceptible action when I select a date, much less change the detailed view to the selected date.

Anyway... disapointing :(

@4 If when you click on a day in the mini-calendar, and your calendar does not switch to that day, then something is wrong. If that is the case, I suggest you contact Lotus support, and provide them details like what version of Notes you are using, which mail template, what OS, etc.
