I have just worked out why some recent ideas I have posted have not appeared, it is because after carefully typing in the details, reviewing for clarity, proof-reading, and spell checking (alright - maybe not:), I am not pressing the dull little grey button at the bottom that says 'Post my great idea'

I have instead been pressing the Big Shiny Blue and Orange link at the top right that says 'Post your Idea'. It calls to me - it is so alluring.

Of course clicking that button cancels the idea you are entering and opens up a  new idea. Should I know better? - perhaps - but not even getting a cancel confirmation message means that the mistake is not even spotted immediately.

The idea: Include a cancel confirmation and/or imporove the UI so that the 'submit/save' button is more prominent during edit than the 'create a new idea' button.
