Exclude Contacts and other Non-Mail items from Unread Mark count

You know the problem..
 
A user asks you "Why does my mailbox icon display that I have 4 unread emails, but there are no unread emails in my inbox or folders?"
 
The answer is often because:
 
  1. The user has "Sync Contacts" enabled.
  2. The user has meeting responses sent to a view which does not maintain unread marks.
In both cases, documents in these views will not obviously be displayed as unread, yet these documents are being counted in the Notes client unread mark count.
 
My idea - exclude documents such as Contacts, Meeting Acceptances et al from the unread mark status.

This is the downside of having a mail client that isn't dedicated to being a mail client. The best way to solve this would probably be to have better options to define which types of documents should maintain unread marks.
