I want there to be a way of setting an individual table cell's background color via LotusScript, similar to how the text color is set using the NotesColor object in NotesRichTextStyle.
I know that there was an idea from a couple of years ago fairly similar to this, so I linked it to this idea.

Another major Notes/Domino release out the door, and still rich text programming in Notes falls short. After all, this feature has been available in our Midas Rich Text LSX since Version 1.20, release Feb. 9, 1998.

I too find this a missed change. It makes you wonder where the time spent by IBM for new releases is going to.

This would be a great option when you develop a form where some fields must be filled, you could visually show the user wich fields are required when you put a field in a single cell.
