We are parsing a CSV file we obtain from customer. Now, when importing data, we do Trim / FullTrim on each parameter. Where that kicks us is as apparently customer is now building that CSV from XML and instead of spaces, there are   characters in their data. These are non-breakable spaces in Unicode. And ofc Trim / FullTrim don't cut them off.
How about making Trim / FullTrim function to trim all spaces, not just regular one? Oh, and triming tabs would be great as well.

I wouldn't make these the default behavior's of the TRIM/FULLTRIM functions, but adding them as optional parameters would be great.

I think there are two issues here. One would be removing encoded space characters. That part I agree with.
The second is whether a non-breaking space is removable. I thought the whole point of a non-breaking space was to specifically denote that it should be treated like any other non-space character but visually represent it like a space. I don't favor having trim or fulltrim remove non-breaking spaces.

Sounds good, but has to be an option/parameter. Maybe one should be able to add a list of unwanted chars?!

In many other languages, Trim function is way more useful than in LotusScript. Pity, as a small effort could go a long way.
