It should be possible to drag an email og generic document and drop it in the Day-At-A-Glance sidebar plugin.
Even better; If the Day-At-A-Glance plugin had the possibility for showing time-slots, the document could be dragged directory to the time of day you wanted.

I tested it, as I had an 8.0.1 XP client open...you get the black circle with a line through it, when moving a document there. So, no.

I have heard this requested by many former Outlook users. They are used to dragging an email into the calendar to create a new event.

As a workaround, if you Dock the Open List (so that it looks and feels like the old Bookmarks), you can drag emails from the Inbox and drop them on the bookmarked Calendar icon
