In earlier versions of Notes you could use ctrl+tab to switch between the tabs you have open in the client (i.e. the databases and documents currently open in the ui). This functionality is missing from the Eclipse based Notes 8 client.
As far as I understand ctrl+tab is a standard way of navigating between tabs... it works fine in Firefox for example.
For us keyboard navigation junkies it's a piece of functionality that's sorely missed.

Yes! Give it back!

Quote Notes 8.5 Tip o the day no. 20:
"To cycle through all open windows in the Notes Client, press CTRL+TAB."

I vote yes - give it back!

Why was it removed in the first place? Its not used by any other function as far as I can tell!?
4) Vitor Pereira4271 (11 Feb 2009)
Not sure but I think it's an Eclipse limitation.

Ctrl-TAB is also used to navigate "back" in a table.
Would be really nice with a cycle-key that works much like the Alt-F4, with dynamic priority of windows.

I agree, but even better, since Alt-Left arrow and Alt-Right arrow does work, make them work more correctly by simply cycling left and right through the tabs instead of through the order that the tabs were last visited.

I just got upgraded to Notes8.5. The lack of CTRL-Tab functionality in 8.5 is a bad design decision. I might have to go back to my old version.

Please, Please, Please! I would forsake all other improvements in the UI until R-next for this to come back.

Yes please! Why change something that have been around for ages....
