Extend the database properties to include information about attachments in a given mail database. For example: number of attachments, amount of database storage occupied by attachment, average size of attachments in database. This could then be extrapolated to the Administrator Client as an optional column in the Files view - to display the number of attachments in all databases and total size occupied by attachments on a given server. This would assist with archive and space planning.

I like this idea if you can schedule it to run as an agent and appear in the Admin Client. Keeping it up to date in real-time might take too much processing.

I think such a feature would have a very bad impact on the database performance. So I would demote if this would be a tatabase feature... but if this can be a agent... maybe a kind of summary agent which runs at night and create some statistic docs in a seperate DB it would be ok I think :-)

I demote this idea because this would badly affect performance and that kind of data needs to be stored anywhere so databases would grow.
