In 7.0.2, we got the ability to "subscribe" to iCal calendars - great idea, but the implementation when compared to other calendars left a little to be desired - import only.  If the calendar is updated, oh well, you can remove the calendar, or change it's name, but not update the calendar events.
I'd like to be able to add the ics file in the calendar and then Notes poll the external calendar every X hours/days so any changes in the calendar are added in Notes.
When so many people are using Google calendar, iCal views for sites, or even just iCal events for tracking your favorite sports teams' schedule. It'd be nice to have that info in Notes and not have to manually update when a change comes.

Good idea Ted. We have users who already use external iCal-based services for their other non-office activities who would love to be able to do this.

On an official basis, we also have users who may have multiple identities and hence calendars to organise. One view to rule them all would be really good news - much like on OS X

This has been promised for 8.0.1

Not 8.0.1. This is a proposed feature for 8.5

I think this would be a very good Idea. I do have to use Notes at work and i´d like to use my Mac.
