By having the various Domino Admin panels (Files, Groups, Servers, etc) as Eclipse views you could put them wherever you want - side shelf, in a composite app, your own perspective, etc and basically define your own admin experience. Having that level of modularity would also allow you to have screens that use one Notes id and screens that use another notes id. I know the Domino Admin team has talked about it but I would like to see the communities response in moving the admin client over to Eclipse components. It would certainly help the sell.
This would allow things like compact, fixup, signing, etc, right from your notes client window. You could even configure each view to use different ID's when mixed with composite applications.

Awesome idea, Bob. It sounds like this would allow the creation of all kinds of custom "dashboards", either for use by the creator or for use by others. You might have a "manager dashboard" with usage and other metrics, and an entirely different one for the intern/junior admin who should only see a basic subset of functions (to keep them from breaking something ;-) ). I could even envision some sort of sidebar that might display admin-related functions pertaining to a specific application, so the app owner could easily adjust related group membership or whatnot.
