Saving shared actions (with LS) should run compiler a do all error processing analogous to agents, script libraries, etc.

that could be time consuming if you have several changes. Perhaps some kind of prompt instead, or perhaps make the Compile LotusScript option more readily available, such as via a button in the Script Library design list

@1) I wouldn't worry about the time it takes to compile things. It is my impression that compiling does not take that much of time.

It's a bit complex. You can write code in simple actions that is "late binding," so an error is not necessarily an error, as it may compile just fine in all the contexts in which it is used. This is why we do what we do...

Maureen makes an excellent point. Please remember that ideas can be withdrawn at any time based on feedback from others including IBM'ers. We are beginning to work with IBM to review ideas that are now part of Notes/Domino 8 and will be updating the status of them.
