I'd love my workplace to be more like File Manager. Let me sory by name, date, size, created, last modified, etc. Display a detailed view, an icon view, a list view. Much of this already exists in the Domino Admin client.

Great idea, but you are talking about a per-workspace-page action, correct? Not an action that would rearrange all pages on your entire workspace (stacking/unstacking replica icons does this).

I have a couple of workspace pages that I want things "just so", never to be touched or rearranged (kinda like the tools that "appear" to be scattered about on my workbench -- hey, I know where everything is!). This would be a great feature for those workspace pages that have just evolved into a cluttured, unusable mess (kinda like my teenagers' bedrooms).

Per-workspace-page action, yes.

I'm leaning the same way as Alan. I'd say something more like: This workspace construct looks so clunky - It might as well be MS BOB.

I totally agree Alan... I posted on another idea the following:

What I think would be nice is to make the Workspace like Windows Explorer.
In that you could view Application (database) icons in one of several ways:

- Thumbnails <-- think of the Workspace now as this mode. Various tabs
are much like folders.
- Tiles
- Icons
- List <--- Much like Notes bookmarks now.
- Details

So you could go to the Workspace and select one of these modes to view your
range of Application icons in various ways. Say right click and jump b/w
these modes if you wanted too. Even the ability to Zoom the Workspace
in/out could be nice too....say with a slider up/down the right side of the
workspace, or like Word 2007 has (one feature I did like about Office 2007 -
grin)
