Calendar invites sent to internet recipients need to work

I wish I could send/forward/update calendar events from Notes to any internet reipient as if they were another Notes Client.  At this time calendar invites sent to internet recipients from Notes do not work very well.
  • If I create a new calendar event and send it to an internet recipient they receive a jumbled rich text message with an attached meeting.ics file
    .
  • If I forward a Calendar event currently on my Notes Calendar, Notes sends it as a poorly formatted Rich Text e-mail, and not an iCal attachment that the recipient can easily import. As you can tell. this is pretty useless.

  • The recipient should be included in the Workflow if they are added by the chair, else the recipient should be be able to see and import the Calendar event into their calendar (regardless of mail client).
    .
  • This should work regardless if you're the chair, a participant or a non-participant, and the iCal should maintain who the actual chair is as well as the participants.
    .
Bottom line is that calendaring and scheduling should work seemlessly between Notes and non-Notes clients.

Larry, I'm curious to know why you don't think it's a good idea to fix the Notes C&S so that it works more seemlessly with non-Notes Clients and/or the web?

Agree whole-heartedly with bottom line above: "Bottom line is that calendaring and scheduling should work seamlessly between Notes and non-Notes clients"
