Lotus Foundations needs a simple alternative to Sharepoint

There are easier ways to add a website they to force them to have quickr.
I would not want to have to support a user running into problems with it.

@Bruce Lill

Not sure what you mean by "force" Bruce.

Everything in Foundations is optional Bruce...don't want to use the firewall, don't turn it on...don't want to use DNS, don't turn it on...same goes for Quickr. Like Domino, it would just be a package you may choose not to install. Right now we don't have the option to deploy Quickr in a Foundations environment except on a separate server and I believe that it would have to be also a separate domain and directory (though there could be undocumented workarounds on that). I support a Quickr 8.1 release (running on Domino 8.0.2) in a different organization and support issues are non-existent once training is provided.

You can easily provide the same functionality with out quickr and it's quirks. I would rather see Lotus Connections migrated to Foundation. I have quickr at customers sites but it's never been used as much as the discussion and blogs templates. It was forced on the users since some executive thought it looked nice.
With no Notes interface it's just a website that could be replaced with an opensource app. If your a MS shop they you may like it. For Mac and Linux users, it's nothing special.
