Domino Server / http

Persistent Login for HTTP

: Domino Server / Web application server
: http, login
Bruce Elgort12550 - 02 2008 / (1)
Web sites such as GMail, Facebook, FeedBurner and most other service oriented sites offer users the ability to stay "logged in" to their site using some type of cookie.  Idea Jam would like to use this type of authentication out of the box for Idea Jam and can't without building ...

Custom Domino HTTP Error Message Configuration

: Domino Server / Web application server
: http, 404, error
Declan Lynch710 - 14 2008 / (0)
while it's possible to use domcfg.nsf to map some types of http errors to special forms in the domcfg.nsf database the level of control it provides is not great and relies on the Domino administrator to work with the designer to edit that particular database and create the mappings etc.

Open Process to enhance Domino HTTP Engine in Release 9

: Domino Server / Other
: http
Axel Janssen6869 - 08 2008 / (0)
(I droped mentioning xhtml after reading Stan Rogers comment).
Bob Balaban has mentioned on his blog that there might be some ideas to modernize the Domino HTTP engine for a later release.
I think this is getting more and more important for different reasons:
- we now have ...

Using more universal SSL certificate stores instead of keyring files

: Domino Server / Security
: ssl, configuration, http, keyring
Serdar Basegmez902 - 18 2011 / (0)
As far as I know, keyring files are not supported by other powerful web servers on the market. Even Websphere group is not using and supporting this file format.
I'd like to know if there is a clear advantage of SSL keyring files. If not, it should be replaced ...

Allow me to write binary data to the response stream in LS and Java.

: Domino Server / Web application server
: lotuscript, java, attachments, http
Peter LaComb846 - 07 2007 / (0)
I'd really like to be able to send a file attachment as a response without a redirect (since I'm creating the file in memory, I don't want to save it and then purge it at some later date).

Add HTTP2 support to Domino

: Domino Server / Web application server
: http
Craig Wiseman24988 - 06 2014 / (1)
One of the great things about Notes and Domino has been the iterative growth of features. Well, that was true until about 4 years ago. Lately, a lot has been said about IBM's poor performance in keeping Domino's security stack up to date:

Log IP Address of bad HTTP requests

: Domino Server / Web application server
: http
Mark Demicoli10736 - 17 2013 / (0)
Attempts by people or bots to find vulnerabilities by hacking at HTTP often manifests as invalid URLs.
HTTP Web Server: Invalid URL Exception [/dev/blog.nsf/dx/18052013124640AMMDEUQC.htm/content/M2?OpenElement?80flag=http%3A%2F%2Fsub.domain.com___paypalkey:20323500] Anonymous
Instead of just showing the username (a recent addition since about 8.0), the IP address and/or remote host should be displayed.

Add DOCTYPE as database configuration

: Domino Server / Web application server
: doctype, domino, http, web
Sean Burgess6178 - 27 2011 / (0)
It would be great if I could set the DOCTYPE for all pages generated for a given database.  It needs to be able to be set at the application level because different applications could use different DOCTYPEs.  The setting would work for xPages, Forms, Pages, and Agents.
This setting could ...

Assume ?open on resources uploaded via Webdav

: Domino Server / Web application server
: http, ?open
Andreas Imnitzer448 - 11 2009 / (0)
I like to use WEBDAV on Domino to publish simple websites. Some tools I use, generate .html pages that are called with url-parms, like:
Trying to open this on domino creates an Error 500.
Rearranging the link to:
http//path/picturegallery.html?open&id=something&style=somethingelse" works.

The above of course works on ...

Tell http drop all

: Domino Server / Web application server
: http
Mark Demicoli10736 - 14 2014 / (0)
Currently there is no way to force all http session-authenticated users to re-login. I think restarting the server works but that is brutal.  Restarting http doesn't do the trick because session cookies remain valid.

Support for very high log activity in HTTP server

: Domino Server / Web application server
: http, server
Mike Woolsey4870 - 28 2014 / (0)
It happens too often. I come upon a server that the customer has called in as being unstable while running the Web server. I come in, and
the domlog is huge. I mean lots of gigabytes of data.
The domlog is unused. That's mostly because it can't be opened, so much data's ...

Add Z-Mode support and file upload/download continue control to HTTP task

: Domino Server / Web application server
: domino, http
Mika Heinonen3778 - 30 2007 / (0)
I encounter very often issues that users can not download bigger (>70MB) files which are stored as attachments into richtext fields via HTTP. I had to install FileZilla FTP server which supports download continue control, when the previous attempt was interrupted. This might need also that Domino starts to support ...
