allow us to control the entries in the language bar

When you write a text e.g. a email and wish to tag some parts as english and the other as german you need to browse true the complete list of avaliable languages. This isn´t very user friendly.

Store most used languages at the top in the language tagging listbox.

When language-tagging text while composing text, it would be nice to have the most used languages in the top of the list box. Now i have to scroll down every time (or type a letter)
 
In non US countries, we switch between native language and english/french/german etc.

Notes has a great feature, allowing part of a text to be tagged with a different language.

It would have been great if the language selection would have been a tad easier, such as just surfacing a Language-submenu in the Text -menu, preferrably with some shortcut keys.
 
Pre-N8 versions had a language button in the statusbar, which made it a little easier to select language, at ...

Better detection of language for Instant Spell Check

During the day, I often have to switch languages, both in e-mails and other documents. It would have been great if the Instant Spell Check feature detected what language was in play, just a tad after I've started to write. Without being too sure, I think Word is pretty good ...
