26 Mar 2011Mark Demicoli10736A single dictionnary for all applications (IBM or not)

This is a great idea! However I don't see how it's particularly relevant to Notes/Domino from an implementation starting point.

You should write an RFC and talk to { Link } ! Big job :)

All Lotus products use to share the dictionary, Notes, ccMail, 1-2-3, Word Pro, Freelance, Approach. Not sure when IBM changed it.

Thank you Bruce. Your answer opens the door to a market offering as it seems there is an opportunity to define a standard, starting with Lotus products.

Thank you Bruce. Your answer opens a great offering as it seems there is a hole in the market.

I could see for all lotus products but for the rest there isn't an industry standard to do it.

Must have a choice in settings outside the dictionary, and for this we must add support for all commonly used formats of dictionaries.
12 Sep 2009Peter Presnell28487Replication job should skip the doc and continue with out stopping

This is a frequent frustration for me. The inability to request LEI to skip over errors and process the rest of the documents. Other examples include invalid character sets in the text. Just skip the record!
16 Jun 2009Bruce Elgort12540LotusScript DB2 stored procedure call

Alex you may want to withdraw this entry since it isn't an "idea". Let me know if you need any help and/or clarification.

This is not a forum. You might try your question here: { Link }
19 Feb 2009Bruce Lill10666Add an SQL activity to allow for an sql statement to be entered

Yes, I forgot that part. For repliction.
19 Feb 2009Vitor Pereira4271Add an SQL activity to allow for an sql statement to be entered

I'm voting yes because I assume you're asking for this to be possible in a replication activity, right? You can already use it in a direct transfer.
10 Jan 2009Bruce Lill10666Scripted activities should 'print' to LEI log

Yes, and it prints with the name give to the LCCSession
23 Feb 2008Christian Brandlehner3226Replication job should skip the doc and continue with out stopping

Having a LEI data replication with a source having no-unique primary keys is a severe problem so I think it is OK that LEI stops on that error.
02 Jan 2008Thomas Kennedy95Scripted activities should 'print' to LEI log

Isn't there a class provided for printing to the LEI log? Like LCSession.LogText() or something.
03 Dec 2007Michael Sobczak2837Add support for MySQL

I meant natively, in addition to ODBC support.

ODBC support within DECS, LC LSX and LEI is typically slow and has limited functionality in comparison to the natively supported RDBMS currently availab.e
30 Nov 2007Tom Oneil2358Add support for MySQL

I thought he meant "in addition to" DB2. If Notes integrated with SQL Server and MySQL the way it does with db... it would be golden.
30 Nov 2007Charles Robinson8913Add support for MySQL

MySQL is currently supported through ODBC drivers.
30 Nov 2007Harkpabst Meliantrop3799Add support for MySQL

It's not clear to me, what level of support you are asking for. Just "Native" drivers for LEI / DECS / LC LSX?
30 Nov 2007Samuel Allen484Add support for MySQL

Actually, to add to my comments above, it'd be sweet if there was a way to encapsulate a MySQL database inside an NSF so the MySQL app could be replicated. Maybe that's science fiction, but it'd be sweet.
30 Nov 2007Samuel Allen484Add support for MySQL

There are ways to access MySQL using DECS, but a formalized approach would be nice. Making Notes the control language instead of PHP would be sweet for a lot of apps.
