Comment: I had this exact same issue, documents being put in a deletions db, courtesy of code in the PostDocumentDelete, even though they were not actually successfully deleted from the original db. Created some confusion until we realised that people without delete right were not actually deleting docs. I agree that this should be changed.

Comment: You are assuming that the IdeaSpace administrators read every idea. If there is a the volume of ideas (and comments for that matter) I can't imagine administrators would be able to read every idea and comment. It would be nice to allow the community to alert the administrator of something inappropriate.

Comment: We have created a "Create -> Mail -> Special -> Link Reminder" form in the mail template. Works almost similar to the "Link message" thingy, but instead creates a Reminder in the personal calendar containing a doclink to the document. Works with documents in any database, and requires only Reader rights on them.

Comment: Having Linux/Mac in mind - because it is COM it is Windows proprietary. This might be reason enough for IBM to not include it in the base packages.

Comment: I'd also like to see some kind of ForceStepOver directive command so that if you have a proc that you are happy works, but loops a million times, you can add the directive to it, and then the debugger steps over the proc even if you accidentally step into it.

Comment: I'd rather say "look at Delphi", but the VS and Delphi IDEs probably have about the same functionality.

Something I badly want for LS code completion: it should also work for user-defined classes and types, and for all subs and functions (as it does in both VS and Delphi I think). In Designer, it currently only works for product classes.

I was thinking that the typical use case for this is when you choose an option on Field A that then drives field B. A pretty common occurence.

And yes if used extensively on a form debugging would be a problem .. although in the situation I describe the fields are almost always next to each other. That said debugging usually gets harder as more flexibility is introduced but does that make the idea bad? If is was easy we wouldn't have a job, would we?!

And maybe I'm having a stupid moment but I can't see how you would do this with Input Translation - I guess you could update anothe computed field but you couldn't drive the choices on a specific keyword field - not without some messy solution. Suggestions welcome.

Secondly, do you realise how much of a pain this would be to debug?
Having to look at the properties of every field to find out why one field didn't recalculate? Yuk!

Comment: I think it is a good idea. Maybe we need a "express designer" (sorry MS). That is a designer with a limited number of functions the user can set/change. The allowed functions will be mostly look-and-feel functions.

You could imagine that the application manager/designer indicates what attributes of an application, or of its design elements can be modified by a user.
