Idea:

No matter how much we train people, hitting block this sender isn't going to stop spam.

Sure I can remove it, but it should be optional, and off/hidden by default.

Idea:

Everytime I need to delete a user, the manager always asks for access to their old mail file for a while.

I set a reminder to ask the manager if I can delete the file in 1 months time.

During that time, the calendar (R&R) is always whining about "user profile not found, blah blah blah" - yes, I know, i deleted it and left the mail file...an option you gave me.

I would like the admin process to remove it from the free time checks, etc...

Idea:

I don't know if it is just my video card, but I've tried it on nVidia and ATI ones with the same result. I run dual 19" monitors and usually have notes client on left, and designer on the right. For some reason, I cannot drag the properties box to my other "secondary" monitor.

Just me?

Comment: So people are using "Block this sender" for real people?
If I put a co-worker on the block sender list they would just come to my desk and ask me if I got their email...

Can you please share how you are managing your mail box with the block sender "feature"?

Comment: I use this to block spam addresses. Like all other menu items, an option to hide it would be find with me, but do not remove the feature.

Comment: I am not sure this is the best place to carry on this type of discussion, but maybe it is.
At any rate, how effective can blocking a sender be to block spam addresses. With today's spam bots, the "sender" is always changing.

I cannot imagine this is doing anything more that introducing overhead on the mail files.

Comment: Sure, I am running Firefox 2.0.0.8 under Windows Vista Business. Sorry, didn't see any JS errors popping up - it just looks like it wasn't refreshing. Hitting the OK and then going into the actual idea did show my vote registered.

Anything else I could capture for you to assist if I should see it again, please let me know.

Comment: Are you talking about adding an image to a comment, or to the original idea? You say both, so I'm not sure what you mean. I already suggested adding an image to a comment { Link } . I don't like the idea of adding images after the fact to a submitted idea, so I'm demoting this one.

Comment: I would agree that it does create overhead but again the tool was ment to be a tool. If the user misuse it then you need to take them to task. You asking to remove this is like asking to take out Rules because the made one to delete all of the mail you send them. It's tool and abused it does become a problem. If they use it properly it can help manage the mail box.

Comment: I agree that it is useless. Spam sender names are always changing. If you have a user who does use this feature, his efford is actually wasted. It would be much better instead if he would forward the message to a central SPAM database, where an admin can analyse it and improve the overall SPAM filters.

If it is not removed it would be fine if it could be hidden via policies.
