Idea:

I am tired of a grey background, or blue or whatever color my system uses that I can choose.

I want to have bmps, jpgs, animated ones even would be cool.

The younger generation wants easily customizable solutions.

Would it be so hard to just have a preference to change bitmap/graphic for the workspace to stick in corp logo?

Years ago it was a bmp I believe, but no longer.

If I am wrong, and I missed the bmp in a nsf someplace please IM so I can edit mine ASAP

Idea:

It would be nice to not need 5 or more location documents for all my emails.

While I can have one inbox, I can not have multiple outgoing email names/addresses from that one box, thus 5 different location docs/dbs, etc.

I can make personal stationery, but not personal email addresses?

It would be nice to see Sametime logins by default show up in the Domino log without having to find the codes and restarting the server to do debugging.

How is a general admin supposed to know who is online for instance before they shut the server down?

Yes, this is part of the administrator options, BUT if I can not login to the %^E$ing machine how can I broadcast something?

There should be a way from the Domino Admin client or from the server console to Broadcast to Sametime users as well as Domino users.

Comment: actually no it doesn't as most people use an ISP. In a corp setting perhaps this would be required to validate proper sender.
But I have yet to have a problem when I send from Adelphia/Comcast to anyone from any of my email domains.
In my case I can only use one SMTP outgoing, my ISP, when I try through other locations, aside from "send from Domino server" it would fail.
In my accounts setup I have the SMTP listed for all users usage.

Why did you take the gutter away in R8? Make me do more steps when it used to be so easy to check the mails to be deleted and delete.

It was there in R8 beta for the "home" view but gone ion the gold version.

Why is this so hard? Word can embed a Visio chart in itself and edit it, why can't you do the same for this in the admin client?

I understand it is built on the fly, but can't you at least add a save to pdf or visio option?

Printing it would make life so much easier for admins and developers, not to mention management.

It's nice to have a visual view of replication and connections. Now can you include useful items like:

IP address/DNS name
replication schedule/times
how many mail boxes are on each server
OS Name/version
Domino Version
Sametime version
Quickplace/Quickr Version

I'm tired of always doing Visio updates for what should be a basic print function.

Sametime / Sametime Mobile: Connecting to multiple ST servers from a phone

I support multiple companies, but can only log into one ST server at a time. I have to change server, login and password to swap around.

It would be nice to either be able to install ST multiple times or at least support multiple communities like the ST client on the pc does.

Comment: I've never stayed at Swan/Dolphin, but in some cheaper hotels around the area, and they all had free bus travel to Swan/Dolphin.

Comment: The Lotusphere 2008 session survey for attendees should be coming out fairly soon (if prior years are any indication). It sounds like the track managers have just about got their session selections finalized. Last year the BOF sessions were determined by attendee interest from the survey.

Comment: @Bruce - Of course. But the onus will be on the session presenters to [1] actively solicit feedback/ideas on their session from this audience; and/or [2] review the content on this site for information that relates to their session topic.

I submitted an abstract for a BOF session on certification (the Lotus Certification Program, the value of certification today, the demise of the "CLP Love Fest", etc.). If this session is selected, you can bet that I'll use this site to solicit ideas/feedback.
