Idea:

There are various places to notify people in Lotus Workflow via Mail, e.g. about new activities or via automated activity.

In some cases a notification via Sametime would be a) sufficient and b) a lot faster than mail.

My suggestion is to add a radio button to allow further refinement of the demand:

"Notify by mail only" [default - current behaviour]

"Notify by mail AND Sametime (when person is available online)"

"Notify by sametime only when person is online (send mail as backup when person is offline)"

"Notify by sametime only (and discard notification when person is offline)"

Comment: We have done this already two years ago for one of our customers. Only problem is that either the server has to login to sametime every time, or some persitent code has to reside somewhere to keep to connection to sametime.

Idea:

I'm shure, I'm not the first and not the last....

I need an @Function to calculate the calendar week of a specific date.

The function should be like @WeekNumber(date; format) with format = [calendar (gregorian, julian, ...) / region / ISO-8601 / etc.].

I know, there are a lot of working functions and code samples around, but I think an direkt implementation in the server / client is a lot faster, especially when this is used in view columns.

WeekDay := @Weekday(Date);
ThisThurs := @Adjust(Date; 0; 0; @If(Weekday = 1; -3; 5 - Weekday); 0; 0; 0);
Year := @Year(ThisThurs);
Jan1 := @Date(Year; 1; 1);
Jan1day := @Weekday(Jan1);
Week1Thurs := @Adjust(Jan1; 0; 0; @If(Jan1day > 5; 12 - Jan1day; 5 - Jan1day); 0; 0; 0);
1 + (ThisThurs - Week1Thurs) / 604800; REM {Seconds pr. week};

The result of the last formula is the week number of Date

Idea:

It would be great to generally leave the debugger off, but to enable it on demand within a script.

I suggest a new "Option Debug" or "%Debug ON / OFF" in LotusScript that enables / disables the debugger only in this part of code (for the whole Agent / Library or just a special part of code). This would allow a developer to ignore all other code and start debugging right where you need it.

Maybe this needs a new global option in designer to enable / disable the feature because I don't want to activate the debugger on end user clients by accident.

Idea:

Since not all workflow relevant fields are name / author / reader fields, the AdminP process cannot handle all required fields in the case of a user rename request.

Some of the fields are unchanged, leaving a workflow binder to an unpredictable state, with a high possibility of errors occurring.

Please provide an add-in for the AdminP to handle theese applications.

Comment: The documentation says that working AdminP with fields, which in Field Flags includes NAMES. For those fields that need to be updated, select the appropriate type of field.

AdminP has no any relation to the Lotus Workflow.
Especially that support Lotus Workflow will be over soon (or already ended?).
Withdraw this idea.

Comment: I noticed that persistent breakspoints are persistent to the function and line where they were set. If you add some lines of code before an existing breakpoint, the breakpoint is then in a line where you'd never expect it :-)

Anyway... since the debugger is ON from the beginning, it would halt at any STOP command in the other code I don't want to debug right now.
Especially when working with many people simultanious in a big project, where everyone is USING all of code but doesn't want to DEBUG it...

So... NO, breakpoints are not an working alternative.

Comment: @Vlad & Stephan: You're right, Lotus should change the type of the field to NAMES. But as you also stated correct that LWF is almost dead (well, not officially yet) we can't expect this to happen any more.

So for the customers with existing LWF applications I need a solution to fix this !

Any other ideas are welcome...
