Idea:

lot of customers are requesting a Home page for QuickR, like we have in Connections. It should display summary of the place, like:

- last X blog entries

- new wiki pages

- new documents

- last announcement

- actual tasks

- today's calendar

- warnings

- etc...

With these new views (portlets) users can build their own homepage or place owners can build a homepage for the place.

Of course for bothe editions!

We've written these for Domino, on a case by case basis (everyone wants something different!). A law firm wanted tasks "matters" and IBM wanted a dashboard with a couple of your items, one of our older templates had last x documents in a little panel.

Hi,

Add an option to the device registration process where somebody should approve a device registration before the user can use it for sync, or only an administrator should be able to register the device manualy.

Idea:

Hi,

please add more options to the syncronisation setting, eg: different settings when the device uses wifi vs broadband or daytime vs night, workdays vs weekends.

On Android there are some profile switching apps, they should be able to change syncronisation settings. So please provide some API-s for Andriod developers.

It would be great if there will be native Android/iPhone applications/widgets for QuickR (not only browser based), so some data can be accesed offline.

Comment: This idea came from a customer. Their security department wants to control registrations and they want that users can use only one approved device.

Idea:

Hi,

There should be an option to lock the Traveler application. If the user wants to start it, it should ask for a password to open it. Also the data should be encrypted. If the phone is stolen this can prevent access to data until Traveler wipes the phone.

There are some apps for Android which are able to do this, but it would be greaat to have our own. eg: SMobile by Juniper makes Your phone hard to use as it lock the phone and not the application.

Using the Notes ID file for lock/encryption would be the best solution.

Comment: On Android and, I believe, Nokia & WinMo, this should be possible as those platforms have IBM developed applications. iOS probably won't have this feature.

I like this idea as it makes sense for a device that may be shared, like allowing your kids to use your tablet. Many is the time when the kids wipe the Profile or app and I have to walk the real owner through the install steps.

Comment: I'm not sure about this. I think that you can achieve the required action by implementing a Mobile Device Management (MDM) product. As an Administrator, I would love to see more control over the devices through Traveler, but I really doubt that IBM is going to go down that path.

Hi,

A forward invtation function should be imlpemented. Sometimes managers (or not the right person) got invitatons, but they don't want/need to attend. They can forward the invitation to the right person - who can accept it -. The chair will see the change. Another possible function is to allow invities (not only the chair) to invite others. This should be allowed by default if invitation cames from another company or can be enabled by the chair.

If the chair is by another company its hard to ask him to invite somebody else.

Hi All,

I'm sure You have the same problem if You have a large complex folder structure. You got a new mail, but the mail rule moves it into a folder somewhere deeeeeeep....then it's hard to find. Of course You can use "copy to folder" but then your inbox will be too large. Inbox CleanUp helps...maybe, but it must be set centraly.

I think it would be an easier solution if the mail rule can - option: run after read - run after the mail is readed.

What about the preview pane? You open a mail in preview, the mail will marked as "read" and moved from inbox to a folder by mail rule, and your preview pane will move to the next unread mail...

Try to use a mail rule "copy to folder" and to create a smart button "@Command([RemoveFromFolder])".

Comment: This is an OS function not an app. If someone gets the phone they get all your data. So you would protect only the mail?

I can lock my phone now if I need to.

What about a phone number recognition in the body field? If You have a phone number in the body, You can tap on it and call. this is working in some other applications, so there must be an API function to do this.

Hi,

Add a field to a chat where we can put the subject of the chat. I think You are also faced with the problem to find the right chat in the history. If there is a subject it is easy to find or remember. If it has this field it can be easily save into the mailbox as a mail document. (project vulcan?)

The invitation can look like this: X Y invites You to chat about: <subject>

Comment: On my Android phone, with Traveler, I just tap on a phone number in the body field of a mail, and it brings up the phone app with that number. Doesn't this work for you?
