Consider this - You're not even live yet. Hardly anyone knows about the site and some ideas are in the 30's. You'll hit three figures soon.

Now imagine you sell this to a company that has a "retail" presence. They want to use it guage the public on ideas. How long will it take to have a promoted count in the four or five figures?

Idea:

While editing an e-mail (or anything else for that matter), I would like [Paste Special...] added to the right-click menu for the mouse. I am frequently pasting from the web and other sources and need to remove the formatting.

Idea:

This one has been steadily improving over the years, but Lotus never "finished" it. For many years we had [ Forward ] as an option when we right-click on a message. Now we finally have [ Reply ].

Now, Lotus should:

(1) Group them together (Forward should be next to Reply, not Print)

(2) Consistently use cascading menus (reply does, forward does not)

(3) Have ALL replying and forwarding options available from cascading menu. (e.g. history, all, attachments, etc.)

Comment: I don't know if it is a Notes issue or not, but pasting sections of Excel sheets as a bitmap is totally useless. The default Paste for this should be RTF/HTML which is only accessible via Paste Special

Comment: We don't need MORE options on the right-click. We need FEWER options. Dramatically fewer. A small enough set that it's easy to right-click and leap to something urgent.

Comment: As many people tend to copy/paste texts through shortcuts it would also be acceptable just to use an other shortcut for "Paste as plain text". (ex. Shift-Ctrl-V)
Maybe this would be a better solution then expanding the right-click menu ?

Comment: You mixed a lot of ideas together. I agree the context menu needs to be reordered, but I don't agree that everything under the sun needs to be on it. Having Forward next to Print makes no sense, but I also don't want to see nine levels of cascading menus. Because of that I'm demoting this idea. If you want to separate them I'll definitely vote for cleaning things up, but I won't promote adding even more to it.

Comment: Ad-Hoc right click menu is a good idea, I used to teach Excel users how to learn Excel in 1 second: right click everything. Using the Menu bar takes too much time to learn all options, but of course it's also good to have for reference.

Comment: I understand the reasoning but I can't think of any other programs that have Paste Special as a right click option. By its nature it's a non-standard action and the right click menu is already cluttered enough. But I'm obviously outvoted on this one :-)
