Search in Lotus Notes-display unread emails within search results (13 Jul 2011)It does work but you have to change "Sort results by" to "relevance" as shown in the image above from the default setting of "keep current order (sortable)". Maybe the default value for the "Sort results by" should be set to "relevance" instead of "keep current order (sortable)"... |
Search in Lotus Notes-display unread emails within search results (13 Jul 2011)Did it keep your search results and display only the unread emails from your search results or did it display all unread emails as well when you clicked on show unread only? I am using Lotus Notes 8.5.2 FP1 and it's not working for me. |
Search in Lotus Notes-display unread emails within search results (13 Jul 2011)I know that this works using iNotes but does not work in the Notes client. This idea is for the Notes Client. |
Search in Lotus Notes-display unread emails within search results (13 Jul 2011)Did you test this from the notes client? |
Counters to meeting invitations (07 Jul 2011)It would be useful to have an icon displayed to indicate this status and/or display the entry in a way that it is different from the accepted/new/unprocessed meetings - allow the user or administrator to select a color for these entries... |
When a user is removed from the Domino Domain and mail file is deleted remove all calendar entries where they are the chair in all mail files (15 Jan 2011)@3 - I agree...there should be a cleanup process to addressed this issue and maybe even allow the chair person under owner's action to change the chair person/owner to someone else - similar to the participant's delegate options |

ideajam ideas - Lotusphere (27 Aug 2010)@David - Thank you for changing your vote. I agree that Bruce Elgort should be the moderator of the session if there is one. I do hope Bruce will submit a session dedicated to Ideajam as you suggested. I promoted your idea regarding the SPRs. Thank you for posting it. As for your idea about collecting the top ideas and see that they get addressed...I think that's a great idea! Go for it! @Vlad Sh - thanks for sharing your thoughts. I do hope that all these issues will be resolved/addressed... |
ideajam ideas - Lotusphere (20 Aug 2010)I have attended the "Ask the Developers" session and it is a great session. I have also visited and would always plan to visit the labs. They are always willing to listen and help. I actually did bring my ideas to the labs and it was suggested that I post my ideas to ideajam to see what others think about my ideas and suggestions, etc. I do like your process but why do we have to do it in two places...why can't the SPR(s) be in a format like ideajam and the community can just vote on it...couldn't we just have a login that would identify us as paying customers or not without having to call support to submit an SPR and then post it here too? I would like an easy interface that would allow me to vote, see and monitors the SPR and if it is implemented then also show which version it is implemented in, etc. In the "Ask the Developers" session, you can only ask one question and then have to go back into the queue/line to ask another question, if all is willing, everyone (all 500+) could go up and present one of the top ideas from ideajam...that would be 500+ top ideas that would at least be presented and responded to unless the person already have their own set of questions to ask...okay...maybe not all of the 500+ ideas would be addressed but most of the ideas would be... My idea was just that after reading the posts (links provided above), I just thought it would be a good idea for IBM to show that this community is valued by letting us know once a year at Lotusphere that these ideas are either already ideas that they have already thought of and already implementing or would be implementing, already have a better idea/method/way, etc...especially for those of you that have shared your brilliant/great/wonderful ideas and have contributed so much to this ideajam community...I thought the BOF would just be a nice way of responding to just a few ideas by saying this idea is a yes, maybe, never, WIP, already in the products... some people may not realize or be aware of what is in the latest releases which would give them more reasons to move to the latest and greatest releases if they are aware that what they are asking for is already there or will be coming soon, etc. I'm not saying read us a list of what is new in the latest version...I'm saying take the ideas that the community have identified as the features that they need or want and say that it is either already there or will be there or not feasible and why... |
Admin Client - Server Console (16 Aug 2010)@Michael - @Command([AdminRemoteConsole]) is good but I want the server console that is in the admin client with all its features - color code screen, console properties, stop, pause, copy (just the lines that I want), set watch, reset watch, lookup error, right click options, etc...It would be wonderful if @Command([AdminRemoteConsole]) would bring up the exact server console that you have in the admin client... |
Improve discoverability of old ideas via a "suggest" feature based on user voting behavior (10 Aug 2010)I would be happy with a view that works like Recent Comments that shows the recently voted ideas with the most recent idea voted for on top, etc. |
I want a toolbar icon for the highlighters (04 Aug 2010)There is an icon for the highlighters in 8.5.1 but what about having more color choices... |
I want a toolbar icon for font colour selection. (04 Aug 2010)There is an icon for text color selection in 8.5.1 |
Ability to target searches based on the repository (e.g., just wikis, just forums) (05 May 2010)A global search is a great idea...to have the ability to search across product Wikis and other forums and community based on a selection criteria. |
Enable instant messaging in wikis and forum posts (06 Apr 2010)It would be nice to have the option to automatically create a response post with the chat transcripts, etc. |
Unvoted view (16 Oct 2009)Hi Matt and Bruce, I know that "Home" would take me back to the "All ideas" page now but when I first clicked on "Unvoted" and was having problems with it - it was just a little bit confusing. Of course, selecting "All ideas" next to select an IdeaSpace did not take me back to "All ideas" while I'm in the "Unvoted" view because it would just show me all the ideas still to vote on... and since I didn't see a button or link to take me back to "All ideas", I did click on "Home"... It would be nice if the idea above or something better could be implemented but thank you for letting me know about the "Home" link. |
Unvoted view (16 Oct 2009)When I click on "Unvoted" - while I'm in the "Unvoted" mode, I want the "Unvoted" option on the top right hand corner between "My Favorites" and "My Profile" to say "Back to all ideas". Then when I'm back in the "All ideas" view or mode, I want the word to change back to "Unvoted". In the "All ideas" view, the option would be - | My Favorites | Unvoted | My Profile | When I click on "Unvoted" then the option would now be - | My Favorites | Back to all ideas | My Profile | When I click on "Back to all ideas" the option would then again be back to | My Favorites | Unvoted | My Profile | I hope this helps...thank you again. |
Unvoted view (16 Oct 2009)@Bruce and Matt - thank you for getting this resolved so quickly. What about the idea that I post in this closed idea? It would be nice if when you clicked on "Unvoted" it would then be replaced with "Back to all ideas"... |
Set via a policy settings - Subject for email is required in the Lotus Notes client and iNotes! (07 Oct 2009)Just enabling the warning will not be enough because all emails are required to have a subject as this is the preferred choice for a number of reasons... Having this feature as a policy setting would allow an administrator to enable this feature for sites that prefer to have this restriction without having to touch the mail templates. As for sites that do not have/want this restriction, the setting can just be left disabled/not enabled. Even with this feature, the administrator would still be able to allow authorized users the ability to send blank subject emails as long as management exempt them from the restriction by not applying the policy that has this feature enabled applied to these users. However, this is not a concern in our environment because this restriction applies to everyone. |
