Domino Designer / : remove a view with (naming_structure) from the open/go-to options or add another property to hide them

Author: Patrick Kwinten
Tags: view link opening
Idea:

if you name a view with () it will not be available from the normal application - goto option.

mostly you use these name constructions for system views; for example for dbcolumn functionality

when keeping the shift+Alt keys down these views appear again in the options list.

I guess it looks cleaner not to show these views under any launch option, otherwise I would have given them a normal name.

Author: Theo Heselmans
Comment: It's just very practical to be able to hide them this way for the casual user, AND have a means of opening them. If you need to prevent them from being opened, you always have the security settings.
Author: Chris Hudson
Comment: Agree with Theo... hidden views are there so as not to clutter up the view list, they are not there as a security measure. If you do want to hide these, use roles to only make them available to select people/groups.
