Idea:

Xpages extension library has a nice object xe:dominoViewListTreeNode allowing the display & selection of view names. Very cool.

I've been using this a lot, but I'm noticing the need for anothe tree node object.

This object would generate the Domino View List as a hierarchy -- maybe, xe:dominoViewHierTreeNode -- allowing the receiving component to build a hierarchical tree from the view much like the standard view navigation pane in a standard Notes application.

Comment: I'm starting to realize, this is a really generic thing that's needed for any "tree outline" representation, and a *big* plus for Notes to support.

For instance, just defining a list of names with

name\subname\subsubname

and being able to convert from that to a pop-up outline or menu list, that's a whole lotta code for application writers to write -- and something only the simplest applications won't need.
