Idea:

When you install Domino on a Windows platform machine, the Domino program directory is not added to the server's path statement.

It would make it alot easier to run nsd.exe, and nserver -c commands (for batch files) if the program directory was already in the path already.

Of course, it doesn't take much to go and add it manually after installing Domino, but please give me a reason why it should not be added to the path automatically during the install?

Comment: Basically you need notes.ini, not the program directory. And that one should not reside in the program directory for a server in the first place.

Comment: I'm guessing here, but it's probably because of multiple partition installs. Which one would you be targeting then if there were multiple partitions?

There are several other major commonly used windows applications that set a path statement during install of their product. PCAnywhere is an example.

@Vitor) Even with partitioned installs, the program directory is a single directory.

Example: c:\lotus\domino\ contains all the program files, where as e:\lotus\dominodata1\, e:\lotus\dominodata2\, e:\lotus\dominodata3\ might be all of your partition data directories.
