The application "Thinkvantage Access Connection" (available on any ThinkPad laptop) allows you to change several settings at once after you connect physically to a different LAN network. It recognises a LAN through a stored MAC address of the ethernet port.
This same functionality could be used in the Notes client to automatically suggest/switch locations whenever you plug in to a LAN where you have been before. (Or at least as the default entry when you start up the client instead of the last location used.) PS: Ok its a minor change. But it is something that can add the "WOW" effect to a product.

I was sorry when I had to change my laptop from Thinkvantage into HP, because I missed this function on my new machine.

Doesn't do Sametime Connect 7.5.1 something similiar?

For end-users that is fine. For Admins, I frequently change Domino Domains from the same environment, so an automatic location switch would be a burden. A preference to offer this, would be nice though.
