PROBLEM: Accidentaly drag a mail folder "somewhere"...

 

Solution: Prevent accidental folder moves by providing an option to confirm the drop after it has happened.

 

Lotus Notes has caused many frustrations over the years.  One common frustration I have heard from various sources (i.e.http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/DateAllThreadedWeb/37FAA68B2B9F3B8B852577F40077F8DA?opendocument&login ) has been that the folder drag & drop feature is WAY too sensitive.  I can't see how we could prevent accidental clicks (this is more common with laptops), but I can figure out a way to make the penaly MUCH less.

 

What sometimes happens with the "drop" is the folder name is lost, so an 'empty' folder is created (presumably because it is dropped somewhere OFF the list of folders or between views).   Sometimes the drop happens somewhere in the heirarchy and it is very difficult to find (100+ folders!!)

 

Please consider adding this highly useful feature with minimal impact to current users (as it is a preference settings, or hell, make it a secret notes.ini!!!)
