Unnecessary idea; You already have non-breaking space: Shift+Space will create a non-breaking space character in a RichText field, at least with 8.5.2.

I have a 8.5.2, that does not work.
Also not working in text copied from MS Word - these characters are cut.

I've run into this need, too. If it's inconsistently added in 852, then it'd be good to make it consistent.
