Idea:

I hope to see a full implementation of CMIS into Quickr next.

By supporting CMIS, Quickr can be more easily being integrated into other applications or CMIS client software of other vendors can be used to access data stored in Quickr.

IBM FileNet support CMIS sinds november 2010 and Quickr 8.5 only supports a subset of CMIS.

It would be great if you can use one Open Standard using Web services and Web 2.0 interfaces to enable information sharing across content management repositories from different vendors, including IBM Lotus Quickr.

This is one of the items I wanted to be fixed in Notes 8.x.

I know this is a repost of an Idea of Marie Scott but it is still valid. Marie Scott posted her idea in 2008 but it isn't solved yet.

"With Lotus Notes 8 came the change in key strokes to lock your screen. However, the blank screen functionality that was present with Notes 7 and previous went away. So if users are not careful about what is visible when they lock the screen information can still be read. Please bring back the blank screen functionality."

IBM is always emphasizing how secure Lotus Notes is, please fix this potential security hole!

There is no way to restrict access on selected documents at once.

You have to go to Edit Properties and change "Who Can Access This" document per document.

This procedure is time consuming!

Why can't I selected multiple documents and change the access rights?

Comment: Edit the ACL of each Document is time consuming in general. Wouldn't it be smarter to modify your mocked up functionality to modify a directory ACL, for example? All Included files would inherit the directory ACL then. In this case I would appreciate this....

Comment: But that's what they do today... A document will by default inherit it's security from a Place, a Room or a Folder ACL.
I want to overrule the default ACL of a subset of documents stored in a folder. I don't want to modify the ACL of all documents in a folder.

I have two problems with that:
1. The only way of doing it today is by editing the properties of every individual document.
2. I have to do it via the web interface, I cannot modify the ACL of a document via the Quickr connector.

Idea:

It would be easier to use drag & drop to add a URL from a browser to Quickr.

An Internet shortcut is created when I do a drag & drop from my browser to my Windows desktop, why not creating a link document in Quickr when doing the same kind of action using the Quickr Connector?

Now you have to open a Quickr place via the browser in order to create a link document.

For an end user it would be far more easier to add links (or bookmarks) this way.

Comment: This could be done programatically with a widget but as you mention it would be browser only.
