Sync Domino Directory (28 Jun 2012)I believe this feature has been implemented now. If I type in a name that is not in my personal address book, Traveler on my iPhone finds the Domino Directory name. |
Allow archiving from an archive file. (05 Jan 2012)I posted this problem on the IBM LDD forum and received a response that indicates this is still possible, but not in the same manner as using "Actions->Archive" once the archive settings have been set: { Link } Archive actions were removed from archive dbs in 8.5.1... Because there were many customer complaints that it was too easy for users to accidentally archive from their archive dbs. The decision was made that archive functions should be hidden from within archive dbs. Personally, I still like the availability of this with Actions->Archive instead of File->Application-.Archive. But you can still create/modify criteria sets through File - Application - Properties - Archive Settings (as you mentioned), and can run these through File - Application - Archive. Alternatively, deleting the archive database profile will indeed cause Notes to treat the archive db as a mailfile, and the archive actions to be available again. Likewise, if you happened to have any pre-8.5.1 mail templates lying around, you could replace design with one of those, and the archive db would again have the archive actions. Allow to specify a maximum size for email archives (05 Jan 2012)Since you can't archive from an archive (ie. to split it into multiple archives, perhaps by year or folders), I don't see where this could be implemented. Granted, I understand the desire to keep the archive small such that you could back it up, perhaps to a 4GB DVD, but until IBM reinstates the ability to archive from an archive, I don't even see how you could limit the database size. |
Add "File - Save as PDF" option (09 Aug 2011)I'd even love it if the 'save as' would allow us to save as "TEXT". Granted "Export" allows this, but how many other programs offer "save as" with many options instead of having to use "export"! Coincide with other IT standards that most have adopted. |
Ctrl + and Ctrl - (minus) to zoom in and out of doc as in browsers and other apps (28 Jul 2011)What about CTRL+MOUSE SCROLL? I use it all the time to zoom in/out with many applications. |
