Notes Client / Other: Remove the "Random Password Generator"

Author: Hynek Kobelka
Tags: password random generator
Idea:

If a user is about to change his password, the dialog offers him the function "Generate Password", which generates for him a set of random paswords. This is the most useless function i have ever seen. I have never met anyone who has actually used it.

It should be removed, or at least hide-able through policies.

Author: Richard Schwartz
Comment: Unfortunately, I suspect that this exists due to demands from customer security officers. I guess I wouldn't object to it being hidden through policy, though,
Author: Bastian Wieczorek
Comment: I think this is a good security feature for some... but yes... I think a option to hide it via policy (to give the user a cleaner UI) is a idea...
Author: Bill Malchisky
Comment: Not a very common used feature this is true. But can be helpful when the Security policy settings document is tightened and the end-user keeps getting their new password rejected. Can provide a good example of what would work with the new settings. Also, can be helpful if the included prose on the new password dialog box is unclear (when entered by the Administrator).
